It’s Not Twin Peaks…

Published June 2, 2011 by glaumland

Thank you Ace for the best and funniest thing I have read today.

He looks guilty because he’s guilty.

He acts guilty because he’s guilty.

He talks guilty because he’s guilty.

He doesn’t call the cops on the hackers because he’s guilty.

He calls the cops on reporters because he’s guilty.

He doesn’t deny the picture is his because he’s guilty.

This is not complicated. This is not Twin Peaks.

This whole “Weinergate” thing is sooo funny. And so sad.

Funny, well because the poor guy has a name that just begs for laughs. You know, like the Oscar Mayer ‘weiner song’:

Oh, I wish I was an Oscar Mayer weiner,

That is what I truly want to be,

‘Cause if I was an Oscar Mayer weiner

Everyone would be in love with me!

See, I think poor Anthony took that song to heart and really thinks that everyone wants to be with him. Or at least his twitter pal. Especially if you’re young and hot. And you think he’s hot. Add in the big (R) after my name and that leaves me out on all counts.

But the sad part is what his wife must be feeling. At least I hope she’s feeling something. Because if she doesn’t come out and say anything, I’ll come to the conclusion that she’s alot like Hillary and stickin’ to her man for the money and fame and power. IMHO.

Also sad that folks just can’t man up and admit when they’ve screwed up. (OK, this sentence could be read sooo many different ways!) The guilty who admit they are guilty look a lot less guilty than those who try to convince you they’re not guilty. Don’tcha think?

Thanks, Ace, for the clarity. The funniest part is I was watching a youtube video of Twin Peaks Lego’s just the other night and have had Twin Peaks memories going through my head.

It isn’t Twin Peaks.

Until next time…

Softball & Hotdogs

Published June 1, 2011 by glaumland

I’m trying to post while waiting for Little Girl to start her game. Goofy Maggie, the crazy hound, decided to hop in the car as we were leaving to come. She’s pretending to be a farm dog, out running around and enjoying freedom, because the baby goats have been imprisoned in the dog pen until the get too big to escape from their pen.
So Maggie is sitting here with me at the game, and being a really good dog considering what a clown she is. I’m going to try to get a pic of her with her new cool summer hard.

Ronald McDonald Captured By Food Terrorists…Buy More Fries!

Ronald McDonald

OMG! What is this world coming to?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1353729/Ronald-McDonald-held-hostage-food-campaigners-chilling-spoof-Al-Quaeda-style-video.html?ITO=1490

This is part of an advertising campaign of the Food Liberation Army of Finland. I’m guessing that it really isn’t Ronald that they are after, but more transparency when it comes to food ingredients and business practices in the fast food industry. The question is: does this kind of stupid stunt work? Sure, they are likely to get some attention, but will their message get through or will they be branded as nutters and get dismissed?

But you know, I’ve got demands, too. I want more food included on the dollar menu. I want McD’s to keep in all the flavor & texture of their french fries but get rid of the calories. I like getting large unsweetened iced teas for a dollar. And I want bigger breakfast burritos, still for a dollar.

But hey, shouldn’t somebody call Burger King and tell him to be on the look-out for danger?

Until next time…

Our Wild, Wooly, Windy Weather

Published January 7, 2011 by glaumland

Smokey Joe & kids a few winters ago.

It was a very fun & productive day here in Glaumland. The wind was up today, blowing trash cans around and making it very chilly. Actually pretty nice for January. But I’ll take it over snow any day.

But according to the ponies, it was a day for kicking up your heels and acting like rodeo horses. I turned them out in the little pasture with the goats this afternoon. Yeehaw, buckaroo! However, the taste of grass soon overcame the need for speed and they settled down into a good feast. The goats followed them around the pasture, at a very respectful distance, but keeping close nonetheless. No baby goats have arrived yet, although our does are looking really big.

I finally finished my Christmas gifts for my staff. Only two weeks late, or a whole year late, depending on how you look at it. I’ll have to post pictures when I get them scanned in. This year I stamped a stack of cards for them, plus a thank-you note and a gift bag. Whew, I haven’t stamped that much in a while. And that will be it until I get some more projects done this year.

I got the blocks done for one baby quilt, and finally figured out how I want to do the second one. It will be a cubby hole quilt, so it should go pretty fast, too. Lots of bright colors and black…my kind of quilt.

Well, I’m walking around here like an old lady, so guess I’ll hop in the hottub and get some rest. Until next time…

Genealogy Update

Published January 4, 2011 by glaumland

I’m trying to find a way to get some of my genealogy information out on the web. I’ll keep working on this site and see what I can come up with.

This is Zerelda Cole, our link to the infamous Jesse James.

Playing When I Should Be Sleeping

Published January 4, 2011 by glaumland

I’ve got to work tomorrow, and that means a full day on my feet. And school starts, so we’ll be back up at 6am. I should be in bed.

Plus one of the most important things for me as I’m dealing with fibromyalgia is to get plenty of rest.

So I had better wrap this up and stop playing. Just one more picture! One of my favorites from a trip to SeaWorld.

Until next time…
